CORRALES– News—News—News The April 8 to 10,2011 Weekend Cooking full participation cooking session has just been put on sale at half price or $525.00.
Jane Butel’s award winning Cooking School is continuing its weekend and week long classes for the 28th year. The classes are now being taught in her professional kitchen in Corrales, New Mexico;located between Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
Additionally, monthly demonstration classes are starting at Builders Source, 308 Menaul NE, Albuquerque, NM. These classes will feature popular New Mexican favorite dishes and other menus such as Grilling, Quick and Easy, Party Dishes and Healthy menus.
The menus for the week long class have been revised to include Mexican Regional selections such as Moles, Chilquiles, Pollo Cachuate, Tres Leches Cake and much, much more, that are featured in her Scottsdale Fairmont Princess cookbook, based off her classes. (Those classes were listed by Gayot.com as the “Best in the US” for hotel based cooking schools and one of the 10 Best in the World.) The week long school will be July 10-15 this year.
There are four weekend classes left this year--April 8-10, June 3-5, September 23-25 and November 1-13, 2011. They will be taught in Jane’s professional kitchen in her Corrales, New Mexico home.
Other than the Demonstration classes, each of the classes is full hands-on participation. Each session is preceded by a review of the history of the major ingredients as well as hints and tips for success with the recipes. Each attendee receives an apron, cookbook and a diploma.
Butel’s school was selected in 1996 as one of the top four in the world by “Bon Appetit” magazine. Schools in the World.
Hands-on Team Building, Dinner Party, Special Event and demonstration classes are also featured and are very popular with corporate, club, and convention groups.
The cooking school has been featured in such publications as Travel and Leisure Magazine, Good Housekeeping Magazine and The New York Times.
