Last month's cooking class at Builders Source was super successful! We all had lots of fun and a good time was had by all.

Builder's Source is a gorgeous appliance store in Albuquerque at 308 Menaul NE.  We can only take 30 reservations for each monthly class.

The September menu will feature Fall Brunch dishes including my favorite Sonorran Sauce for Huevos Rancheros and a very special Chile Crusted Quiche.

chevre wrapSeptember reminds us that summer will soon be a memory and the rush of fall will soon begin. September is always so special here in the Rio Grande valley of New Mexico. The aromatic scent of chiles roasting filling the air bringing the promise of ruby red, ripe chile ristras soon to come in October along with our always gorgeous golden foliage of our cottonwoods.

As a fall special, I am extending through September 6 at midnight my half price special on my September 23-25 weekend and October 9 – 14 week long full participation cooking schools. It is a fabulous time to be here, so sincerely hope you can join us!

With this change of season, I think entertaining comes to mind. I just entertained a rather large party a few days ago and made some of my favorite appetizers with some girl friends. These appetizers were very popular with the crowd, so I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite appetizers.

The great thing about these recipes is that they do not have to be kept hot or cold and are just fine at room temperature, which always makes for an easier preparation.
