Coaching/Mentoring With Jane Butel

 

Jane Butel, an internationally recognized author of 23 cookbooks and 8 republished cookbooks in process and authority on the cuisine of the American Southwest as well as barbecue, grilling and Mexican cooking offers private coaching and mentoring to persons desiring to become a recognized food authority.

Mentoring and coaching also available for developing small businesses, writing cookbooks and developing cooking classes.

The basic coaching for becoming an authority involves three sections.  Other consulting/mentoring will be developed as mutually agreed upon to achieve desired goals.

Section I.

At the initial session the person being coached (Consultee) defines their prior professional experience and future goals.

These will be critiqued and a plan developed for implementation, including major goal setting, priorities and deadlines.

There will be a one hour phone discussion which can be broken into two sections, whereby the plan is detailed, reviewed and agreed upon.

Future goals will work towards establishing the authority recognition, which is usually best served by writing and publishing-articles, blog and a book or books.

Section II.

Creating and bringing the authority angle to fruition.

The steps for writing a successful cookbook outline will be reviewed.

The Consultee then writes an outline for critiquing.

Once a successful outline is created, work will begin to engage a literary agent for placing the book for publication.

Alternative plans will also be reviewed and the advantages and disadvantages of working with a publisher.

Three one hour phone conversations will be devoted to this process plus the review of work in progress by emails.

Section III.

Publicity programs for establishing visibility for the emerging authority will be developed.
This will include assistance with writing successful press releases and methods for dissemination.

Methods and options for selling tons of books will be revealed.

Two hours of phone calling divided into thirty minute sessions will be provided, plus the review and responses to emails.
